LOCATION

I took this photograph after having had a wonderful lunch with some good friends in Cephalonia, one of the seven Ionian Islands in Greece. As I was driving down toward the island’s capital city, Argostoli, I was taken aback by the natural splendor in front of my eyes. I quickly pulled over onto the side of the road, stepped out of the car and took the shot.

TIME

It was late afternoon as we had a long, relaxing lunch.

LIGHTING

The light, all natural, is unique to Greece. Painters, poets, artists, photographers and filmmakers flock to Greece for this reason.

EQUIPMENT

I used a Fuji camera. No tripod. Hand held.

INSPIRATION

I was overwhelmed by the majesty of the sun’s rays falling onto the Ionian Sea. It was so beautiful that it took my breath away!

EDITING

No.

IN MY CAMERA BAG

My camera and battery.

FEEDBACK

I would highly recommend visiting Cephalonia. This beautiful island, the home of the poet Byron, was listed by Forbes as one of the top places to live in Europe.
