It’s a Long Way to Tipperary

They say that in order to become a good writer, you have to read a lot and write a lot.

This is absolutely true.

You also have to keep going…no matter what. And there may be a lot of what.

I also believe that if you are consistent and persistent, something will happen. There will be a mysterious, inner transformation that will take your writing to the Next Level.

When I say Next Level, I mean that you will no longer be interested in merely being published; nor will you continue to write in a manner that is pleasing to others or necessarily commercial. Even though this may seem very important to you now, it is a false belief because there’s something more important: your purpose, call, or true-life direction.

Suddenly, you’ll find yourself preoccupied with the deepest and most meaningful aspects of life. And to yourself, you will attract others who have already gone through this transformation.

The way to Tipperary, as goes the song, is, indeed, long. As you walk it, though, the direction—and, hence, scenery—will change. Things will start to look differently from what you thought. I purposefully use the word thought because it is our thinking that changes along the path.

I’ll always remember the moment of my inner transformation. It was sudden and I immediately switched ‘writing gears.’ In a manner of speaking, I went out of the slow gear and quickly moved up to the fast gear.

I remember that before doing so, writing was painful. I struggled and felt compelled to write whereas now, it flows. When you start ‘flowing,’ the amount of writing that you’ll do will ‘overflow’ and you’ll suddenly find yourself writing so much that stopping is out of the question.

I can describe this as moving through a time travel tunnel in which, suddenly, you are supernaturally propelled and can no longer clearly see the sides of the tunnel. Suddenly, there are just streaks of light as you advance. Your advancement is no longer your own but has become the property of a higher force. Your advancement is in the hands of a greater purpose that consistently guides and upholds you in your endeavors.

Your advancement is ‘out of this world.’

Although the way to Tipperary is long, after your inner transformation happens—and if it happened to me it can happen to you—you’ll be ‘jet-propelled’ into your writing future.

When the words you pen are born from the transformation I describe in this piece, then you’ve made it. Even before you’ve made it in the eyes of the world, you’ve made it. Even before you are highly sought-after, you’re highly sought-after. It is the inward knowing that propels the outward being.

Going through the transformation and understanding your value, your preciousness is what enables others to sense it.

Remember, as hard as it may be for you to believe this, things in your life are happening according to a plan that is bigger than you. You’re exactly where you’re supposed to be on the path.

The secret to unlocking your inner transformation is the way you see the path or view your circumstances. You can’t unlock it on your own, but it will be unlocked for you.

It may be a long way to Tipperary, but you’re well on your way.

Let’s Take it to the Next Level,

Luba
